There's no such thing as encouraging your family to drink too much water in the course of a day. It's okay to offer up juice or milk at meal times, but don't provide it as a between-meal option. By drinking mainly juice or milk, they are likely to be less hungry at meals. Allow your kids to help pick foods when shopping for groceries. If you let them pick out fruits and vegetables that they want, they'll be more likely to eat them. This is a way to get them to try new things, particularly if they find choices with bright colors.
