Health is an important part of life to keep us alive and well. Ignore this aspect and the rest of your body fails and you will lose the chance to enjoy your life with love ones. Therapy and counseling is a way for people to seek understanding of their concerns. Counseling is one way of advising patients how their actions and patterns of behavior affect their health.

However a nutritionist is not a dietitian, and those two words can never be interchanged. But a nutritionist is considered a dietitian however this is a title that anyone can take even without the proper training. However seeking dietitian nutritional counseling is never a difficult process so long as you know the differences.

Primary health care workers often send their patients to see another to evaluate the current state of their diet. And to improve it for their health condition, some conditions include patients who are overweight facing problems with the heart. Seeing one will help patient understand the food they are eating and pinpoint bad habits in eating.

People who have ailments or women who are pregnant seek help because they want to eat better food and live a better life style. Food is an integral part of life without food bodies would become malnourished and the rest of our organs will fail. Failing organs and a famished body is synonymous to a slow and painful death.

Choosing between a nutritionist or dietitian to consult about your nutrition and diet can be confusing. To differentiate, a dietitian is the only legal profession that is regulated by a board and council that allows them to give advice and dispense prescriptions to patients. They often work different industry especially in education, sports and fitness, and in the government. A dietitian must prove their advices with a rationale.

A nutritionist, however, come in two forms. But a nutritionist is someone who gives a general advise and information toward a huge body of people in regards to health, nutrition, and whatever their supervisor tells them to. Nutritionist are not protected by the law, but a special group of registered nutritionists exists. Aspiring individuals must possess a certificate from an accredit school or institution to be able to join. Nutritionist are not allowed in wards unless supervised and they are not allowed to prescribed and issue drugs.

In general a dietitian helps people eat better. Their job is to promote the well being of patients, treat diseases, and prevent nutritional problems through nutrition. Dietitians are regulated and often investigated by a board that evaluates these professionals to keep a good flow of practitioners in the field. Aspiring individuals need to obtain a degree in dietetics or biological science and other relevant degrees which are then followed by a post graduate study.

They are able to teach in universities and colleges. Give pep talks and lectures to other professionals and in the public. Sometimes they provide a research based opinion for the media. They work with patients from all kinds of background, race, and ages providing advises for healthy eating and conducting researchers to benefit human kind.

It is always a good option to choose a dietitian to consult about your concerns regarding diet and nutrition. People who are going through difficult life changes and must need the intervention of dietitian should be safe in their hands. Because all dietitians are trained to help patients recover from their illnesses through holistic care.
